Research
Informatics is an inter-disciplinary domain which draws on concepts, theories, methodologies and frameworks from a number of reference disciplines. Accordingly, research in Informatics covers a wide spectrum of topics. At Stellenbosch we embrace this aspect of the field by pursuing research topics that range from technical (algorithmics, artificial intelligence, cellular automata) to application or adoption orientated (human-computer interaction, information systems, knowledge management).
